What Is A Powerhead?

What is an outboard powerhead? A powerhead in relation to OUTBOARD motors, is equivilant to a long block on a car motor. A powerhead is a completely assembled motor with block, crank, rods, bearings, seals, top cap and bottom caps, pistons & rings, and heads. It DOES NOT include the reed plate, intake, carbs/EFI or DI, any of the electrical or ignition, flywheel. The idea is to swap your stuff over to the new powerhead.

If you need a replacement powerhead, feel free to search our website for a remanufactured powerhead with 1 year warranty. It also comes with a free powerhead gasket set.
